13.08.07 - From Glamour To Africa

Hi Guys,

This is to let you all know that today August 13th 2007 i am announcing that i have now given up my Glamour Career on Page 3.

I have been on Page 3 in The Daily Sport and then in The Daily Star since i was sixteen and i feel now i want to move on to more challenging things in my life. This year especially i feel is the best year to go because i am at the top right now and that is how i would like to leave.

Ive had my very first calendar for sale and a charity calendar front cover too for A.S.P.I.R.E. I have had several front covers in the last twelve months too and of course my page 3 pics and various magazines. Ive had two brilliant shoots on location one in Portugal for The Daily Sport and one in West Africa for my website. Im also the Agony Aunt for Fit for Men Magazine too which i will honour till Jan 2008 when someone new will be chosen.

I am also Miss Sunday Sport 2007 which i won in London at Penthouse Nightclub in Leicester Square in February and i have had a huge logo of my face and body on the Racing boat for the  Williams Powerboat Racing team which will be covered in this months issue of Fit for Men Magazine and is regularaly seen on Sky TV.

Ive enjoyed my Glamour Career and have had a fantastic four years with many ups and downs and i feel i have grown up a lot and i have definately seen a lot some things which i wish i hadnt seen but nothing that has not been seen before by other people i guess. I kept my feet on the ground and im thankfully still "Cherry" lol

Ive never been a party animal and ive not been one of those models who was looking for a footballer to live off for the rest of my life. I prefer to do things my way and then i dont feel i owe anyone any favours. Except of course to my mum !!

I owe my mum loads she came with me on every single shoot for three years till i was nineteen and then on some after that too but only let me travel alone when she knew it was a safe shoot with people i trusted. Without my mum i would have been lost honestly she has been fantastic. Ive had a couple of relationships which are now over and im happy to move on and be single for a while.

I also lost my dad during my four years of glamour modelling cos he disagreed with my career and basically didnt wanna know "Thanx for that Dad" but dont worry i managed without you cos u were hardly there anyway. But my family supported me 100% and have been fantastic.

My brother Will built me this website and my other brother Tim sorted out both my My Space pages for me and my sister Della has fed me when i had no money and my mum took me places all over the country so ive had a rollercoaster ride really but its been great fun and very interesting, Now i have my own house and my two dogs Lulu my Dalmation and Monroe my Lhasa Apso  and financially im doing fine.

Ive just passed my NVQ Level 1 in hairdressing and i am going in September for part two. In the meantime i work in a local village pub in the day to pay my bills. Life is great right now.

My new goal in life is to eventually build a house for a family in West Africa by November 2008. My friends on my forum help to sponsor this family and my sister pays the rent on her house and i pay the fuel bill. Soon i will have a website about this family online for you all to follow my progress and hopefully support me in my fundraising.
But for now i just wanna say a big thankyou to everyone on my forum for being there for me and supporting my career since 2003.

The forum and website will be staying online guys so dont worry and i will be online a couple times a week myself too. My last shoot was with Jeff Kaine and it was a great shoot im loving the pics hopefully they will be published soon but for now guys thats all i can think of to say and i hope you have all had fun watching me over the last few years.

Ive had a great time and im still Living the Dream "my way" but the dream has took a different road thats all but most of all im happy guys so i hope you can all be happy with me.

Special thanx to lots of people Jeff Kaine for advising me over the years and Dogs my forum daddy for looking after me when i needed him also Derek my friend you know why hun !! All my friends/fans online for all your gifts and flowers and contributions to my charities. Postie Paul for sending me gifts almost every week i must have cost you a bomb? Theres too many too mention really but everyone who followed me ............
