About CherryDee

I won my first bonny baby competition when I was just ten months old and went on to win lots of other competitions like Miss Rosebud and Miss Wyre Toddler when I was four years old.

I did lots of carnival queen competitions all over Wales and as far as Blackpool. I used to love dressing up looking like a barbie doll and of course winning. I suppose from very young I had loads of confidence it seemed to come to me easily because I was in the public eye at such an early age.

My final wins were Miss Millenium 2000 and Miss Welsh Resorts in Llandudno i won both on the same day beating girls who were sixteen when i was only twelve which was quite an achievement. I decided then to concentrate on my school work and take time out cos i had won so much over the last year that i felt sometimes it was a waste of time going cos i knew i was gonna win which might sound big headed but its not it just seemed that i gave it 100% and other girls didnt so i always won because of my dedication.

I remember the last competition quite well because my mum was cringing when they had the twelve finalists in a row and asked us one by one the same question?? If you could be anyone in the whole world who would you like to be ?? And everyone was saying Spice Girls or Madonna and when i got asked all i said was "nobody really cos im quite happy being myself"

My mum was like omg i cant believe you said that !! And i was thinking well why not because i dont wanna be someone else i wanna be me i was only twelve. But when they announced the winner in reverse order and i had won i jumped off my seat and walked forward to pick up my trophy and sash i still have the pictures even now .

So it was only natural i should head for a career in modelling when i left school. Unfortunately i couldnt do catwalk modelling because i was only 5ft 1and tiny so i opted for Glamour Modelling.
I started on page 3 on my Sixteenth Birthday in The Daily Sport and have done that for the last four years.

Ive also been front cover on Fast Car Magazine and Fit for Men Magazine also been featured in Zoo Magaazine and The Daily Sport. Ive been on page 3 in The Daily Sport and The Daily Star too many times to count really. Ive been away on a shoot with The Daily Sport to Portugal and to West Africa for a website shoot.

Ive also had my first calendar on sale and been the Agony Aunt for twelve months for Fit for Men Magazine. Ive recently won Miss Sunday Sport 2007 and had so much published work ive lost track now last week i was in The Daily Sport four days in a row which was unusual.

Ive done charity work for A.S.P.I.R.E. a centre for people with Spinal Cord Injuries. I did the Channel swim for them in my local swimming pool and raised £250 i also did a charity calendar for them with other people from the centre and i was the Front Cover for that and the calendar raised almost £2000 so i was really proud to be part of that.

This year ive decided is my best year and that is why i am giving my Glamour career up. Ive just had my Twentieth birthday and i feel now is the right time for me to carry on with other things in my life that mean a lot too me. So now i am carrying on with my charity work in West Africa.

I have been there twice in just six weeks and i am sponsoring a family of seven and i have just moved them out of a mud house into one made of bricks and mortar and on a recent visit my mum went cos i was too busy and they now have electricity run off a generator and a new three piece suite. Me and my sister pay their rent and fuel bill and friends on my website donate £1 a month to send them money for their food / clothes etc.

I hope in the next eighteen months that a lot of the people supporting this family with me will also be coming out to West Africa to visit them and see how they manage that will be fantastic. I love this family very much they are poor and the mum had polio when she was a young child and limps badly . She also lost her own child a few years back and then looked after her brothers child from a tiny baby and she is nine years old now.

She has eight month old twins and two more children and lives happily now in Serrekunda with her husband and young family. Im happy they have moved from the mud hut but i am starting to fundraise now to get £3000 to buy land and build them there own compound so i will be doing loads of fundraising to do this for them.

And hopefully i will have it soon and im hoping that in November 2008 when loads of us sponsoring this lady go out to West Africa to visit her that they will be able to see her new house that i have built with all my sponsorship money ive raised from various things i have planned like swimming and running and a bungee jump and mountain climbing so i have loads to look forward too.

Im looking forward to a new challenge now and i know i can do it. Its time for a change ive just passed my first NVQ1 in college in hairdressing and in September i will be doing part two of this so im still doing other things and so i have extra cash now im working in a pub five days a week so i can pay my bills. Its a long way from the Glamour Scene but i love a challenge and if i dont have something to challenge me i get bored easily.

Thankyou for reading this everyone and i hope you will all continue to support me in what i do
Love + Kisses
